Notes:

2/18: We’re unlikely to see a running back taken in the first round again this year. The difference to me is, where I had Eddie Lacy (now with the Green Bay Packers) with a first round grade, I don’t have a player like that this year. Which is not to say there aren’t guys I like a lot—Mason, Hyde, Carey, Sims—just that there isn’t a “transcendent” player at the position. And that’s what it will take to be a first round running back in the NFL for now—you have to be a once-in-a-lifetime player. Otherwise we have seen too many running backs come out of the mid rounds and perform to risk another Trent Richardson. I don’t expect much (if any) movement at the top of the list post-Combine, though there can be shuffling. However we may see some movement in the middle and at the end. A good Combine performance may send me back to the tape to see if I missed something the first time or if the Combine performance was just that—a well-timed performance.

4/28: I’ll be finishing up my top five this week (theoretically) along with starting to post defensive rankings, so check back for Sankey and Sims profiles.

  1. Bibbs. Check the tape on this kid. Not named a starter till week 7 yet finished with 1700 yards and 31 TDs. Look at his highlight video. Walterfootball has moved him up to #7 on their RB list for good reason.
